The services of the IIS Group

We are a multidisciplinary and versatile structure, consisting of operative divisions specialised in the various sectors of competence, able to offer global services in many industrial sectors, such as oil&gas, civil and industrial infrastructure, energy, transport, chemicals, engineering and manufacturing, in Italy and abroad.

Training

The Training activities of IIS started with the very birth of the Italian Institute of Welding, soon after its foundation. Since then, the training services have been growing and diversifying, and now deal exhaustively with all topics that either directly or indirectly have to do with the sector of welding.

Inspections and NDT

The IIS Group operates in the field of inspections and testing with about 60 Qualified Inspectors, capable of performing second and third party inspections, non destructive testing with different methods, expediting, QA/QC functions, inspections on site.

Engineering

IIS SERVICE boasts an Engineering Division provided with the most advanced tools and expertise to take on complex problems of structural engineering, process engineering, material and corrosion engineering.

Certification

IIS Group, operates in the field of certification through its own company IIS CERT, providing its Clients with certification of quality management systems, environment and safety, manufacturing processes, materials, products and personnel.

Laboratory

The laboratory of the Italian Institute of Welding Group is divided into Testing Laboratory, specialized in mechanical, technological, and special tests, and Welding Processes Laboratory where research, experiments, studies and setups are carried out with traditional and advanced welding processes.

Technical events

Every year the IIS Group organizes numerous technical/scientific seminars and conferences.
The National Welding Days, held in Genoa every two years, represent the most striking event for the Group and attract the growing interest of all those who deal with the world of welded contructions.

IIS

Istituto Italiano della Saldatura - Non-Profit Distribuiting Organization (IIS) has the mission to “promote and foster in Italy the progress of welding in all fields, including similar and complementary techniques, and to contribute to its knowledge and dissemination”.

IIS CERT

IIS CERT services concern the certification, according to the main national and international codes and regulations, of personnel, quality management systems, environment and safety, manufacturing and control processes and procedures, products and materials.

IIS SERVICE

IIS SERVICE provides a wide range of integrated services for industry, aimed at ensuring the integrity, reliability, availability of structures, components and industrial plants.
