IIS CERT was set up on January 1, 2011: one of the two limited liability companies of the IIS Group.
IIS CERT, with approximately 40 employees, operates from the central headquarters of Genova and from the regional offices of Legnano (MI), Mogliano Veneto (TV), Modena (MO), Priolo Gargallo (SR), Taranto (TA) and Rome (RM) and boasts high-standing national and international partnerships.
The services of IIS CERT concern certification, according to the main national and international codes and standards, of:
- personnel
- quality, environment and safety management systems
- manufacturing and inspection processes and procedures
- products and materials.
IIS CERT is a Notified Body in Brussels under number NB 0475.
As a Certification Body, IIS CERT operates with accreditation by the ACCREDIA National Accreditation Body and with authorisations by the European Welding Federation (EWF), the International Institute of Welding (IlW), as well as by the National Railway Safety Agency (ANSFISA).
Furthermore, IIS CERT is the contact member of CEC (European Certification Consortium), through which it performs activities for product conformity assessment pursuant to the PED, TPED and ATEX Directives, as well as periodic checks on equipment in service pursuant to the laws in force on their safe use.
