The Italian Institute of Welding Group is able to carry out tests for characterizing the fatigue strength of materials, components, structural details or welded joints according to international standards or to Client's specification. The cooperation with the Engineering Dept. of IIS Group allows to design and realize sub-scaled specimens for testing in our Laboratory.

The purposes of fatigue tests could be different; among them, the verification of the class of structural details, the verification of the fatigue resistance of a component, the composition of a S-N curve or the determination of the crack growth rate in fracture toughness specimens, are to be pointed out.
